This is difficult!
So I started this blog thinking it would not be too hard, but man o man I was wrong. I have been reading up a lot about how to promote the blog to more, and be somewhat successful (a goal, but is it attainable?!?!?!). That has taken up quite a bit of my time the last few days. I think that I got inthralled in all the information, and a little overwhelmed. I have also been unpacking everything for the fire scare, I spent some time with my best friend yesterday (went way longer than we expected, but was much needed), and I have been nursing my poor husband. He had a tooth extracted a week or so ago. He got dry socket, which is very painful. He has to go back to the dentist every other day for the area to be stuffed with special medicated gauze. But, he is in a lot of pain, and has not slowed down in any way. He has continued to work 12+ hours a day, outside in the 100 degree weather. He is exhausted and in pain, but being as much of a trooper as possible. I feel horrible for him, and am trying really hard to help out where possible, but with a ranch, something else always comes up.
Today we hope to relax and catch up a little. I have been sitting here at the computer planning a party for Wednesday evening, and preparing for this post. It has been a while, and I am sorry, but waking up at 5 and not stopping until after 11 has been my life the past few days. Such is life! Yesterday our jet pump for our water started going out. I am hoping at some point today my husband can disconnect it and I can exchange it. It is just a few months old, and with it going out, our water pressure is horrible, almost non existent. Then this morning, one of our really good friends, accidentally broke our automated gate. It was a total accident, and usually it does not take much to fix. I hope any how....
Tomorrow, my number one goal is to post more about my life. I have taken pictures of all the animals and the garden. I just need to edit and get them on here so you can see more of what I have/do. It is hard to get to know me without that information. Then, I need to do some good cleaning, and not just picking up. I also need to get ready for the week ahead. It is going to be a really big one! First my bestest friend ever is coming to town. She lives in Northern California and we see each other several times a year, but we both always get so excited. She and her family have rented out a beach house for the week and we will be spending a lot of time down there. Also, my kids paternal grandfather from Colorado is in town, so they will also be spending some time with them. Monday I promised to take my son and a friend to Sea World for a little bit, Friday my son has a neurologist appointment (long story, after appointment I will go through it). But the party on Wednesday evening is what I am most excited for. My friend's daughter (my neice) had a little boy a year ago, and we are having a San Diego First Birthday party for him. He was born on the same day as my best friend, so we will also be celebrating hers also. While I am typing this, I am thinking that we should throw my son's 13th birthday in there also. His is the 31st, but he will be in Hawaii at the time. The more that I type and think about it the more I think it is necessary!
Well, I think that I have done all that I can do for now. Tomorrow, I will catch you up on the family, animals, and the rest of the week. For now, we will relax, rest have fun, and eat lots of left overs from the week!
